Delete your account
Last updated: October 4, 2026
You can delete your midom account at any time, right from the app. What happens to your family’s data depends on whether you’re the only adult or there are others.
From the app (recommended)
- Open midom with your parent account.
- Go to the profile switcher (your avatar, at the top).
- Go to Settings → Account and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm by typing the word DELETE.
- Done. Your account is deleted and you’re signed out.
If you can’t access the app
Write to hola@midom.mx from the email you registered with and ask us to delete it. We verify the request comes from the account and process it.
What gets deleted
If you’re the only adult in the family, the whole family is deleted:
- Your account.
- Your children’s profiles.
- All tasks and their history.
- All money and points movements.
- Savings goals, rewards and redemptions.
If there are other adults in the family, your account and your access are deleted, along with the data we use to keep your account active, such as your email and sign-in details. The family, your children’s profiles and the history continue for the remaining adults; what you recorded is kept without being tied to your account.
A historical record of the parental consent you gave may be kept for as long as the child’s profile exists, as evidence that parental authorization was obtained.
How long it takes
- The information disappears from the app immediately.
- Backups are fully purged within a maximum of 30 days.
- If the whole family is deleted, it is no longer available in the app and can’t be restored from it.
Important: the subscription is cancelled separately
Deleting your account does not cancel the midom Familia subscription, because billing is handled by Apple or Google. Cancel it yourself:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play → your photo → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
