Terms of service
Last updated: September 2, 2026
By creating an account and using midom you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. midom is operated by Laura Garza, an individual with registered business activity, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico (“we”). Contact: hola@midom.mx.
1. What midom is
midom is a family app that works as a shared record of responsibilities, money and points between a parent and their kids. It turns household tasks into money, points and privileges the family agrees on.
midom is not a bank or a financial institution. We don’t hold, move or transfer real money. Every balance in the app is a calculation over the entries you record; the actual money is still managed by you, outside the app. midom does not give financial advice.
2. Who can use midom
- You must be of legal age and be the parent or legal guardian of the minors whose profiles you create, or be authorized to manage them.
- You are responsible for everything that happens in your account, including your children’s profiles, which are records you manage (not independent accounts).
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password secure.
3. Your content
The names, tasks, amounts and other data you record are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service, as described in the Privacy policy. We don’t use them for advertising and we don’t sell them.
4. Acceptable use
You must not: use midom for anything unlawful; attempt to breach security or access other families’ data; resell or exploit the service without permission; or use the app to deceive, pressure or harm a minor. Rocky, midom’s character, is designed to never shame or punish a child, and we expect your use to follow the same spirit.
5. Subscription and payments
- The free plan covers up to 2 kids and the full product loop.
- midom Familia is a subscription for larger families (more kids, more adults and extra features).
- The subscription is purchased and managed through the App Store or Google Play. The final price, taxes and currency are set by the store based on your country.
- It renews automatically until you cancel it from your Apple or Google account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
- Refunds are governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies. We don’t process charges or refunds directly.
- If you stop paying, nothing is deleted: your kids, tasks and history are kept; only midom Familia features are paused.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep midom running well, but the service is provided “as is.” We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If a change materially affects you, we’ll give reasonable advance notice.
7. Intellectual property
The app, the name “midom,” the logo and the character Rocky are ours or our licensors’. You may not copy or use them without permission, apart from normal use of the app.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, midom will not be liable for indirect damages, nor for money arrangements between you and your kids, nor for decisions you make based on information in the app. midom is a record-keeping tool; decisions about allowance, spending and rewards are the family’s. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by Mexican consumer protection law.
9. Termination
You can stop using midom and delete your account whenever you want (see Delete your account). We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, giving you notice where reasonable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. For any consumer dispute, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) has jurisdiction; otherwise, the courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León.
11. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms materially, we’ll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect.
